Purpose/Use/Notes:

In our beginning classes, we will use Mixcraft to allow students to create and mix sound effects, as well as try out simple music production for their games. Our 3D students will use it in the production of sound tracks to accompany their animated productions. Our advanced students will use it both in the creation of sound effects, music tracks, and the production of "cut scenes" in their game productions. We currently use Audacity for this type of work, but a true DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) like Mixcraft has greater abilities and allows the use of a MIDI keyboard for directly recording notes or triggering synthesized sound effects to synchronize with video playback.
