Handwriting Heroes Online is an interactive learning platform that guides one through letter formation lessons, games and activities. Students are instantly engaged by the animated stories, songs, puzzles, and online writing tools and are eager to move from one letter to the next. It features: lowercase, uppercase and numeral letter formation videos animated songs real-time voice recording a magic on-screen pencil a self-assessment tool arcade-like learning games.

Purpose/Use/Notes:

I began using this program while it was free last year to address handwriting needs using an online platform. The program groups letters by how they are formed, giving students a framework to remember correct formation. The videos are so engaging and the practice is short and effective. As we’ve increased online activities over the last couple years, handwriting fluency has decreased. This is a solid tool to address this deficit. The other first grade teachers have expressed interest. It could possibly be used regularly by kindergarten and as intervention for 2nd and 3rd. I like it enough that I'm paying out of pocket for it now. School (custom) or class ($100/year) pricing available. Students will also need the workbook pages. I purchased it for $15 on TPT. There is a discount for purchasing additional licenses @ 13.50 each. Workbooks can also be purchased from the company’s website
