Amira assesses oral reading fluency and analyzes errors to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses. Every time a student and Amira read together, Amira generates diagnostic reports that empower teachers and parents.

Purpose/Use/Notes:

SB127 requires some changes to the EISP (Early Intervention Software) Grant. Supplemental software programs need to meet the same criteria as core and intervention programs. Amira and Lexia are the only state approved programs that meet the "evidence-based" material requirement for students scoring below and well-below as measured by Acadience Reading Benchmarks. This software program is approved as part of the EISP Grant and schools may also want to purchase licenses for fourth thru sixth grade students.
