Gimkit is a classroom game-show platform where students compete by answering questions on their electronic devices. Instead of earning points, students earn virtual currency, which they can "invest" during the game to boost their score. Games can be played live or can be assigned as independent practice. There is a wide variety of topics the students can learn and review while playing this game. On Gimkit Pro you'll have access to assignments, which allow you to assign kits as homework so students can play individually on their own time. Pro also allows you to upload images and add audio to your questions.

Purpose/Use/Notes:

I can use this every day every class period as a warm-up for what we are going to learn or a review of what we have already learned. There is a wide variety of topics the students can learn and review while playing this game. Anything they will learn in math 7, math 8 or Secondary Math 1 can be reviewed while playing this game. I would like the Gimkit Pro version as it is more fun to play and the students would enjoy it more. With the pro version, I could upload images and add audio to my own questions.
