Purpose/Use/Notes:

Hello, I have two students who are low-level ESL/MLL students, one of which knows almost no English (has only ever nodded to me) and the other is the second lowest level. Both need translation services in class which I provide via PowerPoint’s translation + Google Docs translation + printed out notes. However, Slide translation is difficult because only docs translates for free, not Google Slides. So an issue I am running into is that my students, especially my newest one, is struggling with being able to see what is on the screen. I tried out a Google Slides translator service and it worked amazing. Then I realized you only get one free one. I contacted the company and they gave us a code to receive 30% off the cost. That comes down to $67.20 if the year is bought at once, or $11.20 per month if purchasing on a per month basis. I would then have unlimited translation of my slides. I am seeing if I could possibly have funding to pay for this to help my two students. I could also help translate slides for really anyone who asks, but I would especially be reaching out to my department and helping out. Heidi and I spoke about a site license, but they will only do a “per person” license. However, the coupon code is valid for anyone who puts it into the purchase location. So in theory, anyone could ask you for this and the discount could be given. Would it be possible to receive funding for this software? Here is a link to one that I created earlier this year using the free trial. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1KSwJVf0viiSbkrKAvVchW1sJJSN-u2wgv-tvApobekk/edit?usp=sharing
