Purpose/Use/Notes: Dorico is a music notation program that allows music educators to type up sheet music for students to use. It is a valuable tool allowing teachers to quickly make playable parts for warm ups, exercises, and arrangements for class use. Finale used to be the go to program for music notation that was approved by the district, but they just announced the software is no longer being continued and they are recommending all their users to move over to the Dorico program instead. After August 2025 all licenses for Finale will no longer be able to be installed on new machines so a new music notation program is needed.
